If anyone has ever heard of the Isle of Man TT, chances are he/she must have heard of John McGuinness too. The 20 times winner of a race where people aspire to either finish or to stay alive by the end of it, the 'Morecambe Missile' is considered a living legend by millions across the world.
At the recent North West 200 which is considered by many as a practice session for the Tourist Trophy, McGuinness qualified 15th in the Superbike class, 12th in the Superstock and ninth in the Supersport at the Triangle meet, and finished 12th in the Supersport race.
With the first practice session at Isle of Man starting on 26th of May, he faces a tough week of physio to give his best to the most important event of the season.
Speaking to the reporters McGuinness said, “All I can do is put it behind me and focus all my efforts on getting in the best possible shape for the TT. It’s my main event of the year and I want to put on the best possible show I can so, rest assured, I’ll be working hard this week and making sure I get plenty of physio to allow me to push hard throughout the fortnight.”
