Our folks at Bikeadvice just posted some pictures of Hyosung GD250R in India, from the registration plates it looks like the bike is somewhere in Maharshtra. GD250R is among the three motorcycles set to be launched by DSK Hyosung till end of this year. Unlike Hyosung’s another quarter-litre motorcycle GT250R, the GD is a single cylinder motorcycle. Being a single-cylinder motorcycle indicates that it will be cheaper than the GT.
The engine on GD250R produces 28bhp of maximum power and 25Nm of peak torque, the power and torque figures are impressive considering the bike to be just 138kgs in kerb weight. The GD comes with twin projector head-lamps, single fat rear mono-shock, inverted forks at the front, split seats and tire units look like MRF Revz-C. GD250R sure carries the striking looks to attract Indian masses but only after Hyosung declares the price can we tell what impact GD will be able to make. According to the reports, GD will be assembled here and it will fall into a price bracket of 1.5lakhs to 1.7 lakhs. GD250R will go head to head against the CBR 250R and KTM RC200. All of the three motorcycles fall into more or less same price bracket. GD250R looks like a very promising package and we are desperately waiting to test ride one. Thanks to Bikeadvice for sharing these images.
