- Hyundai Aura bookings on at a token amount of INR 10,000.
- Bookings can be made both online and offline (Hyundai dealerships).
- It will be launched on 21 January 2020.
Hyundai Motor India revealed the Aura compact sedan back in December last year. Now its official bookings have commenced ahead of its launch which is slated for 21 January 2020. Interested customers can book the Aura online, or at a Hyundai dealership for a token amount of INR 10,000.
The Hyundai Aura is nothing but an elongated Grand i10 Nios underneath. It shares its underpinning with the hatchback but has been given a longer top-hat to give it a proper sedan stance. For the uninitiated, the Hyundai Aura is the Xcent successor. But the arrival of Aura doesn't mean that Xcent will be taken off the shelves. The Xcent will be continued, but with a 'Prime' suffix and only available to the fleet operators. A strategy that Maruti Suzuki adopted for its Dzire sedan.
The Hyundai Aura appears to be similar to the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, and it's not hard to figure out why. But the similarities are just restricted to the exterior fluidic proportions, while its differences are highlighted thanks to the new bumper, the fog lamp housings and tweaked radiator grille. At the back, the rear-fascia appears to have taken inspiration from the latest Hyundai Sonata.
In terms of interiors and features, expect the Hyundai Aura to carry over certain bits like the dashboard, switchgear, steering wheel and seats from the Grand i10 Nios. Apart from that, it will use confirmed features such as advanced 8.0 Touch screen Infotainment with Android Auto & Apple Car Play connectivity, Arkamys Premium Sound system, 5.3 digital speedometer with embedded Multi-Information Display (MID), iBlue Audio remote smart Phone App, wireless charging, air Curtain, and much more.
As far as the mechanicals are concerned, it will use three engine options namely 83 PS 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, 75 PS 1.2L turbocharged diesel engine and a 100 PS 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine
