Hyundai car prices to rise from January 2020
Hyundai India has not confirmed the extent of the hike.
Hyundai is the third automobile manufacturer after Maruti Suzuki and Tata to announce a price hike.
Input prices have been continuously increasing over the past couple of months. It has resulted in automobile manufacturers hiking their rates from January 2020. Maruti Suzuki and Tata have already announced the hike earlier. Hyundai India is following suit by stating that it will increase the prices of all its vehicles across all categories with effect from January 2020.
Hyundai India has not yet announced the date of implementation. They have also not disclosed the extent of the price hike. Keep reading our updates on this matter.
Apart from Maruti Suzuki, Tata and Hyundai, one can also expect other manufacturers like Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. to announce their price hikes.
Hyundai India is India’s first auto manufacturer to introduce smart mobility solutions in its vehicles. The input and material costs have increased over time, thereby necessitating the price hike.
Hero MotoCorp, the largest manufacturer of two-wheelers in India, has also announced a price hike of up to Rs 2,000 on its vehicles from January 2020.
Such price hikes are typical at the beginning of the year after the year-end discounts that automobile manufacturers and dealers announce in December to clear the existing stock.
