Hyundai Motor India to increase prices of its model range in India from August

Hyundai Motor India has announced that the Korean carmaker would increase the price across its entire model line-up in the country by up to Rs 9,200. Hyundai said that the price hike would come in effect from next month, i.e. August 1, 2019. The company is also going to add some more safety models to its product range in order to meet Government’s safety norms and comes due to the rising input cost in adding these features.

Currently, in India, Hyundai sells a total of 11 models - Grand i10, Santro, Active i20, Xcent, Elite i20, Verna, Venue, Elantra, Tucson, Creta and Kona Electric SUV. While it is known to everyone about the Creta, Elite i20 and the recently launched Venue sub-4metre compact SUV that are quite popular among the other stable range and has also made their spot in the top 10 car sales chart list in the country.

Apart from that, Hyundai is gearing up to launch 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 facelift, which is company’s one of the best-selling hatchback and also makes its spot on the top 10 car selling list in India – Hyundai Grand i10. The hatchback strong takes against the Maruti Suzuki Swift and other hatchbacks like Tata Tiago, Ford Figo, etc. The upcoming 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 facelift is based on the same platform as the recently launched sub-4 metre compact SUV and will also share its platform with upcoming Kia Picanto and Kia’s upcoming subcompact SUV that has been codenamed QYI.
