Hyundai India unveiled the Creta Anniversary Edition last month and presented the keys of first SUV to Saina Nehwal. Now, the pricing and engine specs of the Anniversary Edition of SUV have been leaked online before its goes on sale. Being based on the SX+ grade, Hyundai Creta Anniversary Edition price starts from Rs. 12.50 Lakhs for the 1.6L petrol variant and Rs. 14.06 Lakhs for the 1.6L diesel variant (Ex. Showroom, Surat, Gujrat).
Going by the pricing, the Creta Anniversary Edition is around Rs. 39,000 more expensive than the standard model. It comes in Polat White paint scheme with a contrasting black roof. The special edition features black-painted C-pillar with integrated spoiler, while riding on dual tone 17-inch alloy wheels. Just so you know, both these features are standard with SX (O) trim. In addition, the Anniversary Edition gets bright silver skid plates and body graphics. Inside the cabin, the Creta special edition boasts of a black and grey dashboard with red accents around the A/C vents, fabric upholstery with red inserts and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It gets all the features of the SX+ grade.
Mechanically, the Creta Anniversary Edition carries the same set of 1.6L petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variant is powered by 1.6L 4-cylinder VTVT engine, while the diesel derives its power from the 1.6L 4-cylinder CRDi engine. Both the engines are mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Hyundai Creta is all set to touch 1 Lakh sales mark in the country. Recently, it was spied as test mule in Brazil as the company would launch the SUV at the 2016 Sao Paulo Motor Show in November. However, it is still not certain that whether it would carry the 'Creta' nameplate there, as several reports have indicated that Hyundai might go for the 'ix25' moniker.
