Hyundai India is already working on the next-generation model of the Creta SUV. It is expected to reach Hyundai dealerships sometime in 2020. The new Hyundai Creta SUV will come in place of the existing midsize SUV which was launched in 2015.
The new 2020 Creta model will not have the existing 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engine and 1.6-litre petrol motor options. In place of that, Hyundai Motors will bring BS-6 ready 1.5-litre petrol and diesel motors capable of generating 115hp. The new BS-6 compliant Hyundai engines will be fitted in various Hyundai models such as in the Hyundai Verna facelift also. Moreover, the interesting fact to note is that Kia Motors shall also make use of the same BS-6 engines. Kia will equip the Seltos SUV with Hyundai BS-6 engine and also include it in their other vehicle portfolio lined-up for the Indian market.
Hyundai ix25 or the new 2020 Creta SUV is also expected to be offered in two seating options. Initially Hyundai Creta 5-seater SUV model will be the first one to be offered sometime in 2020 and later it will be followed by the 7-seater Hyundai Creta SUV model.
