Hyundai Creta has received an overwhelming reception from auto enthusiasts all across the nation, and now the general waiting period for compact SUV is around 4-6 months. Hyundai India, at Creta's official launch on July 21, had revealed that it has registered around 15,000 bookings. And, now we have learned that waiting period for the range-topping automatic diesel variant has gone upto even 10 months in some particular cities.

Hyundai Creta was launched in both petrol and diesel guises and it was learned that it had localization of upto 95 percent. However, prices revealed a different story altogether when it was launched. However, despite the obnoxious pricing, it has been able to create impeccable buzz in the country. Such was the hype of Creta among people that even prior to the official launch, the compact SUV had secured 10,000 buyers.

Hyundai Creta was introduced with three engines: a 121bhp 1.6L Dual VTVT petrol engine, an 89bhp 1.4L U2 diesel engine, and a 126bhp 1.6L CRDi VGT diesel engine. Hyundai Creta is the only vehicle in its segment that offers automatic transmission as none of its competitors - Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross - is available with an auto gearbox. However, it remains to be seen if Hyundai introduces an all-wheel-drive variant of the Creta in the near future to take on Duster 4X4.
