Hyundai it seems has hit the gold mine with the all-new i20. The manufacturer has already got 15,300 bookings in under 20 days of its launch and around 80,000 genuine customer inquiries about the car. The car was globally launched in India on 11 August this year. The car comes with two engine. A 1.4-litre diesel and a 1.2-litre petrol unit with prices starting at Rs 4.89 lakh(ex-showroom, Delhi). A key reason to this tremendous response is the fact that the engines offer brilliant economy figures of 18.60 kmpl for the1.2 petrol and 22.54 kmpl (both ARAI Certified) for the 1.4-diesel. The car was launched in India first, ahead of its global unveil which will take place at the Paris Motor show in a few weeks from now.

Hyundai had tasted this kind of response in the last one year with the Grand receiving 10,000 bookings in 20 days and Xcent registering 11,000 bookings in 30 days.

According to Rakesh Srivastava, Senior VP, Sales & Marketing, Hyundai Motor India Limted, this customer appreciation and acceptance of the new Elite i20 just shows the confidence in Hyundai products.
