Hyundai Grand i10 Facelift Revealed For Europe

Hyundai has unveiled the Grand i10 facelift for the European markets. It is being designed and developed at the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center (HMETC) in Rüsselsheim, Germany, and manufactured at Hyundai Assan Otomotiv Sanayi (HAOS) in ─║zmit, Turkey. The new model would have its public debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The Indian arm of the South-Korean automaker has also been testing the facelift version and it is expected to carry similar cosmetic updates as the European model.

Thomas A. Schmid, Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor Europe, said, "New i10 showcases great build quality and our passion for detail, while also including many features from the segments above. The excellent total package representing great value has made the i10 one of the best-selling cars in its class and popular with customers across Europe - a success story that the New i10 is set to carry on." The Grand i10 facelift flaunts a new Cascading front grille, new bumper design and new round LED daytime running lights. The rear end features an evolved bumper design, including refined materials on the rear lights, a new black inlay as well as round rear fog lamps. Redesigned side mouldings with a new shape and size, and restyled 14-inch alloy wheels round off the fresh profile of the new Grand i10.

Inside the cabin, the facelifted version has a new stylish shade of red cloth. Buyers can now additionally choose from blue, orange, beige and black interior colours on all trims. The hatch also gets a new seven-inch touch screen navigation system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, premium features like automatic air conditioning, heated steering wheel and front seat warmers are standard on the Grand i10 facelift. As for safety, it boasts of two new advanced system: Front Collision Warning System (FCWS) and Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS). Mechanically, like its predecessor, it carries the same petrol engines, 1.0L and 1.25L, driving the front wheels through five-speed manual as standard or four-speed automatic gearboxes. The hatch is also offered as a 1.0L liquid-petroleum gas (LPG) factory-fitted option.
