The Hyundai Grand i10 Sedan is one of the most awaited cars that are about to be introduced in India. The company has been testing the model from a while in India that also got snapped for a few times now. Earlier, it was expected that Hyundai will unveil the model at AutoExpo India but now it is emerged that the company is all set to launch the Grand i10 Sedan on 4th February in the Indian market. The Hyundai Grand i10 Sedan is based on the same concept as Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze, derived from their conventional hatchback models. In the same way, the Grand i10 sedan is underpinned with the hatchback's platform and has to be introduced with similar powertrain options as of G i10.
Being a compact sedan, the odd looking proportions are sometimes normal for this genre of cars. However the semi-camouflaged model that was spotted during test runs revealed an outline of its design. The automaker has decently integrated the boot into hatchback body that is expected to look pleasant when it will be completely revealed. The petrol powered Grand i10 sedan will feature a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, Kappa engine while the newly designed 1.1-litre, 3-cylinder CRDi engine will serve the duty under diesel powered Grand hood.
The Korean automaker, Hyundai, has been known for loading its cars with loads of class-leading features. And undoubtedly the Grand i10, Verna and Elantra has already proven the same in their respective segments. The example like introduction of diesel powered auto Grand i10 has given a new horizon to the automakers in the segment. Moreover, the commendable success of Grand i10 has boosted the company’s presence in India that also pre-defines the Grand i10 Sedan fortunes in the market. However, the compact sedan segment has been an unexplored platform for Hyundai till now but the introduction of i10 Sedan will definitely make a major impact on the likes of Honda Amaze and Maruti Dzire.
