Hyundai Elite i20 based crossover has been spotted fully undisguised, just days ahead of its much anticipated launch in India. The Elite i20 based crossover has been christened as Hyundai i20 Active and it is expected to launch in the country on March 9, 2015 (Tentative). Hyundai i20 Active has an enhanced ground clearance than the hatchback version's 170mm. Moreover, it gets a new brown paint shade. If sources are to be believed, the i20 Active would boast a upgraded suspension system, while inside the cabin, the infotainment system would also be updated.
Mechanically, Hyundai i20 Active is expected to carry the same set of engines as the Elite i20 hatchback. The petrol variants of i20 Active would be powered by the 1.2L motor which dishes out a top power of 81bhp at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 115Nm at 4000rpm.
