Hyundai India has showcased the current version of the Hyundai i30 at the Delhi Auto Expo. The Hyundai i30 is currently on sale in the international market. Though, the company has not confirmed its launch in the Indian market, and its appearance at Hyundai’s pavilion has given rise to echo of its launch. The i30 will will be slotted above the Hyundai i20 in the company’s global range.
In the U.S auto market, the Hyundai i30 is marketed as the hatchback version of the Elantra sedan and it measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,780 mm in width, 1,470 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,650 mm. Moreover, It also gets a boot space of 378 litres that can be extended to 1,316 litres of space with rear seats folded.
The interior is most likely similar to that of the Hyundai Elantra that features a flowing centre console housing a new BlueLink infotainment system with an updated navigation software and Apple Siri integration. It also features TFT SuperVision instrument cluster, rain/light sensors and steering mounted controls.
The Hyundai i30 in European markets is offered in both diesel and petrol engine options. There are two diesel of 1.6-litre turbo diesel engine available in two power levels. One which delivers 110 HP and 280 Nm of torque, which is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the other churns out 136 HP and 300 Nm of torque connected to a seven-speed automatic unit. The petrol versions include a 1.4-litre capable of producing 100 HP and 134 Nm, and a 1.6-litre engine that delivers 120 HP and 156 Nm of torque.
