Hyundai Motor India has launched a unique TVC titled Santa Fe Aliens Capture; for their SUV, Santa Fe. Santa Fe is the largest offering from the stable of Hyundai Motors in terms of size and is assembled locally in India from CKD units. According to the Hyundai, the initiative is launched 'to expand the outreach through the digital medium.'
The New TVC shows how the Santa Fe helps humans to slave the extra-terrestials. The TVC starts with an alien spaceship trying to capture a Santa Fe, but soon the Santa Fe overpowers the spaceship by driving it through some rough terrains and the ship being destroyed in the course. The aliens were heard chattering saying that the car is too powerful to take control of. Soon the Santa Fe captures the spaceship in a large warehouse sort of thing and 2 aliens enters the scene, cleaning the car, saying all the good words for the Santa Fe.
The new Santa Fe looks, age ahead of its predecessor, but uses the same 2.2-litre CRDi engine as the earlier car. The engine is capable of producing 166 PS power @ 6200 rpm and a maximum torque of 197 Nm @ 4600 rpm, mated with a 6-speed automatic and manual transmission. It is available both in the 2WD and AWD versions. The pricing starts at Rs 26.3 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the two-wheel drive manual, while the two-wheel drive automatic costs Rs 27.33 lakh and the four-wheel drive automatic version demands Rs 29.25 lakh.
