Hyundai Santro introduced a year ago, has performed well in the automobile market despite the adverse market conditions. To celebrate this achievement, Hyundai has introduced the Santro Anniversary Edition. This edition, based on the mid-spec Sportz version, comes equipped with manual and automatic transmission options.
Apart from a few apparently cosmetic changes, there is not much difference between the new edition and the existing model. These changes include dark grey wheel covers and black accents on the door handles, ORVMs, and the roof rails. Cladding on the door along with a chrome strip on the boot is other additions. The vehicle comes with a special anniversary Edition badging.
The Hyundai Santro Anniversary Edition will be available in two colors, the Aqua Teal and Polar White. The Aqua Teal color option is only available on the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios today.
On the mechanical front, there is no change as the Anniversary Edition car comes with the same engine and transmission systems as the Sportz variant. The 1.1L petrol engine produces a power of 69hp and torque of 99Nm. The engine mates with either a 5-speed AMT system or a manual gearbox.
Coming to the prices, the Hyundai Santro Anniversary Edition is priced at Rs 5.17 lakhs for the manual variant whereas the AMT version is available at Rs 5.75 lakhs. It makes this vehicle more expensive than the existing counterparts by Rs 10,000.
