Hyundai Sells 4 Million Vehicles in India

Hyundai India has announced that it has achieved the milestone of selling 4 million vehicles in the country. The Hyundai journey began in India 19 years ago with the launch of Hyundai Santro, India’s first tall boy design automobile, which paved its way to the hearts of Indian consumers. With the productive launches of Grand i10, Elite i20, i20 Active and Creta, Hyundai has witnessed success in the Indian market.

Commenting on the 4 million domestic sales milestone, Mr. YK Koo, MD, HMIL, said, “Hyundai today is a 10 product strong brand with class leading products from the Eon to Santa Fe. Hyundai has since inception focussed on make in India products, made for the world. Hyundai the largest exporter and the largest premium car manufacturer in India catering to the growing needs and demands of the aspirational Indian customer. Hyundai has witnessed success as the fastest growing sales milestone and we assure our commitment to the Indian car market.” Hyundai has established its unique Fluidic Design Sculpture as the design direction under the global modern premium brand image. Taking cues for its global flagship products, Hyundai has incorporated the designs into Indian products.

The South-Korean automaker is the fastest growing automobile brand in India to achieve the milestone. This sales milestone also makes Hyundai India’s most loved and trusted auto brand, scripting ‘Made in India’ success. Recently, we told you about Hyundai Creta winning hearts in not only India but also global markets. Having said that, the compact SUV has received 70,000 orders in India and around 15,000 in global markets.
