The festive season of the country has gone by but the manufacturers in a bid to maintain the sales are bombarding the market with new launches. Hyundai, the number two automobile manufacturer in India played a strategic game and waited for the post-festive months and silently slipped the next-generation Verna into the Indian market.
The new Verna was updated two years back and was designed on the flowing design lines of new Fluidic design language of the Korean giant. Verna became one of the best-sellers and most popular in the segment. The car is undoubtedly the best looking vehicle in its segment and to keep the keep up the times, Hyundai has started shipping the new vehicles to the dealerships. This comes at a time when its direct rival, Honda is gearing up for the launch of next-generation City in India, which is scheduled to happen on 25th of this month.
The new Verna carries many design changes. The most highlighted and notable one would be the new projector headlamps. The new Verna comes with daytime running lamps to make the things even better. The already stylish Verna received subtle but noticeable upgrades, which sure keep the footfalls alive and increasing in the Hyundai showrooms during these slow months.
The other new features that come bundled with new Verna are the Safety escort lamps, position lamps, automatic headlamp control, amazing looking new diamond cut alloy wheels, which also comes bolted with the recently launched Hyundai Grand i10. The interiors did not get any attention this time, so they remain almost the same except illuminated power window switches. Hyundai also redesigned the smart key with the new vehicle.
The current Hyundai Verna comes with 4 engine options namely 1.4 VTVT petrol, 1.4 CRDi diesel and the powerful ones, 1.6 VTVT petrol and 1.6 CRDI diesel. Hyundai offers both automatic and manual transmission option with the current Verna. Mechanically, the new Verna will remain unchanged will be offered with same engine options and transmission options.
