The second largest car manufacturer of India, Hyundai sold 49,681 cars in november 2013 whereas 55,762 units were sold in the corresponding month of previous year which means a dip of 10.9 percent has been recorded. Domestic sales witnessed a slight decrease, 33,501 cars came out of dealerships as compared to past year's 34,751 unit of cars. On the other hand, exports of the company dropped by mighty 23 percent from 21,011 to 16,180 units in November.

Though total sales declined but recently launched Grand-i10 fetched good numbers for the company and clocked 11,007 units in the month. Grand i10 is the latest offering from the Korean mutinational. It sports an all new three clinder 1.1 litres diesel motor providing 70 bhp of max. power along with the 1.2 litres petrol unit that already comes with i10.

Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., looking at the sales report said, “At Hyundai the strong focus on Channel efficiency & the addition of the successful new model Grand i10 with sales of 11,007 units along with the strong product portfolio has increased the cumulative market share of Hyundai cars to an all-time high in a declining industry. After the festival season market has been sluggish due to unfavorable macro-economic factors and the low market sentiments resulting lower customer enquiries.”
