Snapshot: The Hyundai Tucson is likely to be powered by a 2.0-litre CRDi diesel engine that can develop 182 bhp of maximum power at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of peak torque at 1,750-2,750 rpm. The Hyundai Tucson petrol version is expected to come with a 2.0-litre dual VTVT engine under the hood, the engine car further develop 153 bhp of peak power at 6,200 rpm and 192 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm

Korean car maker, Hyundai is all set to launch its all new Tucson SUV in India today. The SUV will sit between the Santa Fe and the Creta SUVs, the Santa Fe serves the top end of the SUV segment while the Creta serves the lower end. Hyundai has opened the bookings of the Tucson more than a month ago, and the customers can book the SUV with a payment of Rs. 25,000. 

The vehicle showcases Hyundai's signature design language with breathtaking edges that have been further complemented by in stylish highlights like - a great looking hexagonal grille with touches of chrome, smart looking sweptback headlamps, sloping roofline, a newly designed sporty bumper, and wrap-around LED tail lights that goes well with the overall rugged design. All these together makes the SUV a head turner even in the crowd. The SUV would be Hyundai's endeavor to stay in the competition in the SUV segment which is growing at very fast pace in India. The company first showcased the SUV in earlier this year at the Auto Expo 2016, since then it has gathered quite a bit of fan following. 

In the inside the SUV is loaded with features and gets a leather upholstery, leather wrapped instrument panel and steering wheel. It likewise highlights a touchscreen infotainment framework, 8 speakers, optional panoramic sunroof, electric tailgate and so on.

The Hyundai Tucson is likely to be powered by a 2.0-litre CRDi diesel engine that can develop 182 bhp of maximum power at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of peak torque at 1,750-2,750 rpm. Both engines are likely to come with the option of 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Hyundai is likely to launch the Tucson in three trims – 2WD MT, 2WD AT GL, and 2WD AT GLS. The customers can choose the petrol variant between the first two trims, while diesel customers can choose all three trims.
