Hyundai India will officially start accepting bookings for the recently unveiled Venue sub-compact SUV from May 2, 2019 across the country. However, a few company dealers have already started taking orders. The first sub 4-meter SUV from the South-Korean brand had its world premiere on April 16, 2019 in India. Hyundai Venue will be launched in May 21, 2019 in the Indian market in an expected price range of Rs 8-12 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) while it rivals the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300.

Hyundai Venue will come loaded with a plethora of exiquisite features like sunroof, wireless charging, cruise control, keyless go and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, the e-SIM-based Blue Link system with 33 features will also be on offer in the top-end variants. Hyundai, identical to Santro, will start the pre-bookings online as well as across all its dealerships. The buyers bookings the Venue SUV online will get it delivered by their nearest Hyundai dealer. The company will develop 9000 units of the SUV on a monthly basis at its Chennai production facility. Just so you know, India is the first market globally to get the Venue.
Mechanically, Hyundai Venue will be presented with three engine options: a 1.2L MPI petrol, a 1.4L CRDi diesel and the 1.0L turbocharged GDI petrol engine, which will make its debut in the Indian market. The naturally aspirated 1.2L 4-cylinder petrol engine will deliver top power of 82bhp and peak torque of 115Nm, while linked to a 5-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, the 1.4L 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine will churn out 89bhp and 220Nm with power being transmitted to the front wheels enroute a 6-speed manual transmission. Last but not the least, the 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine will generate maximum power output of 118bhp and highest torque performance of 172Nm. It will be available with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard while a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission will be on offer as option.
