Hyundai Venue Feature List Revealed Ahead of Official Launch

Hyundai Venue will be officially launched in India on May 21, 2019, in five variants-E, S, SX, SX dual tone and SX (O). The Hyundai Venue carline will be available in petrol and diesel options with three engines-1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engines and a 1.4-litre oil burner. While the Hyundai Venue colour and variant details have already been revealed, a leaked document with variant-wise feature list of the upcoming subcompact SUV has surfaced online.

Hyundai Venue Compact SUV Starts Reaching Dealerships 


The base variant in the line-up will get impact sensing door unlock, day/night IRVM, tilt adjustable steering, rear parking sensors, speed-sensing auto door lock and manual AC among others. Features such as automatic AC, central locking, rear defogger and power-adjusting wing mirrors will be skipped to curb pricing. The one-up S variant, on the other hand, will additionally get keyless entry, rear defogger, power adjusting ORVMs, rear ac vents, a rear power outlet, power windows at front and rear. Other bits such as 2 DIN Audio with FM/AM, USB & Bluetooth will also be on offer. On the outside, it will feature roof rails and a dark chrome radiator grille in front. The Hyundai Venue interior for the S grade will get full cloth seat cover and a fixed centre console armrest with storage space. This variant will be available with all engine options with an automatic variant on the 1.0L turbocharged unit.

Hyundai Venue Variants and Colours Revealed Details Inside

The Hyundai Venue SX and higher trims in the line-up will not come with the 1.2L engine. As for features, it will get additional bits such as projector-type fog lamps and headlamps, electrically adjustable & folding wing mirrors, auto light control, voice recognition button on steering, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Arkamys audio system, sunroof, etc. This variant will be offered with dual-tone paint options and leather seats inside the cabin.


The SX+ variant will pack in a plethora of features and will be available with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired to a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It will get chrome door handles on the outside, other additional bits will include 8-inch AVN system, wireless charger, auto day/night inside rear-view mirror, telematics, smart key with push-button start, etc. Sitting at the top of the Hyundai Venue range will be the SX (O) variant which will be offered with 1.4-litre diesel and 1.0-litre turbo petrol units. This variant will get a manual gearbox only. The fully-loaded top-spec variant will be armed to the teeth with features including a sliding front centre armrest, 60:40 split rear seat, day/night IRVM with telematics, armrest for rear passengers, etc.

Dual airbags, anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, front pre-tensioners, immobilizer, ISOFIX seat anchors will be standard. The S dual-clutch automatic variant will additionally get ESC, VSM/HAC, BAS. Rear camera with display on audio, cruise control will be offered with the SX grade. While the SX+ will get ESC, VSM/HAS and BAS as standard. The top-spec SX(O) will get six airbags including side and curtain airbags. In its segment, the Hyundai will go against rivals such as Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. As for Hyundai Venue price, expect it to start from Rs 7.20 lakh with the top-spec trim likely to be priced at Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
