Hyundai India has started production of its highly-awaited SUV, Venue in the country which is set to launch on May 21, 2019. Hyundai Venue is the first sub-four meter SUV from the Korean car giant globally. The first unit of the upcoming SUV was rolled out on May 6, 2019 from Hyundai’s production unit in Chennai. Interestingly, this day also marks Hyundai’s 23rd foundation day in India.
With the official launch just two weeks away, Hyundai has started accepting pre-orders for Venue at a sum of Rs 21,000. The sub compact SUV will be available in seven trims including E, S, SX, SX (O), SX Dual Tone and SX+. Even though Hyundai is a late entrant in the segment, its sub compact SUV has opened to a good response from the customers with 2,000 bookings within a day after official bookings started.
To ensure Venue is well received, Hyundai has rolled out several lucrative offers. While the company is assuring early delivery to the customers, zero cancellation charges and no processing charges are also being offered. Besides, customers can avail the 100 per cent on-road finance along with extended warranty. Cashback worth Rs 2,000 is guaranteed on using HDFC Bank Credit/Debit Card. In addition to above offers, customers using SBI YONO app stand a chance to win a Hyundai car.
On mechanical front, the new Hyundai Venue will get a choice of three engines-a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.4-litre turbocharged diesel engines. In terms of power, the 1.0-litre petrol unit makes 120 PS and the 1.2-litre engine puts out 83 PS. The 1.4-litre diesel engine belts out maximum power of 90 PS. As for transmission, it will be available with a five-speed manual, 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. In its segment, the Hyundai Venue will primarily go against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon.
