Hyundai Verna CX launched, Priced at Rs. 8.07 lakhs

Hyundai has finally launched the new CX variant of its most-selling sedan, the Verna. The new variant is targeted to make the Verna’s reach more competitive in its segment, which is also essential at this point as recently launched Honda City has come up as a strong contender for the segment leader Verna. The new variant is available in 1.4-litre capacity engine for both diesel and petrol options. A 5-speed manual transmission does duty on the petrol version while the other is benefitted with 6-speed manual transmission.

Loaded with the safety features like ABS, rear disc brakes and driver side airbag, the Verna CX is also quite impressive on comfort and convenience equipments level. The CX features fog lamps, audio controls steering wheel, keyless entry, music system with multi-connectivity, driver’s seat height adjustment, rear parking sensors, electrically adjustable and foldable outer rear view mirrors and 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
The new variant in its petrol avatar is priced at Rs. 8,07,406/- and the diesel powered Verna CX comes reaches the showroom with a price tag of Rs. 9,28,807/-.

The Korean automaker refreshed the 2014 Verna with few up-gradations like DRLs equipped projector headlamps, automatic headlight control and few more premium elements. However, most of them are available on the top-end SX(O) variant. Presently, Hyundai has been offering a total of 17 variants of Verna, out of which eight are petrol powered and rest are diesel powered Verna. The price range starts from Rs. 7,17,786/- for basic Verna 1.4-litre VTVT GL and goes upto Rs. 1,142,831/- for top-of-the-line Verna 1.6-litre SX(O) with automatic transmission.
