Hyundai has finally taken the wraps off the ‘Vision G’ Coupe Concept at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The South-Korean automaker says that Vision G Coupe Concept is an evolution of its design language and would inspire a family of future premium products. Hyundai Vision G Coupe Concept inhouses the award-winning 5.0-litre Tau V8 engine, producing 420bhp at 6000 rpm.
“Vision G is the first high-end premium coupe by Hyundai Motor. Despite its bold and powerful styling, the concept is purposefully understated, creating a balance of opulence and elegance that will resonate with customers who seek style without pretention. Vision G represents a fresh interpretation of Hyundai Motor’s characteristic approach of balancing design and performance, expressed in a way that isn’t overburdened with glitz and stereotypical luxury cues,” said Peter Schreyer, President and Chief Design Officer of Hyundai Motor Company. In case you want to know, Vision G Coupe Concept has automatic doors that act like a valet, while recognising the self-sufficiency of the driver.
Talking about the exterior, Hyundai Vision G Coupe Concept has a long hood, high-beltline and understated cabin. “Vision G appears dynamic and in constant motion even when standing still, this anticipation of action reflects the confidence we have in the future direction of luxury Hyundai Motor vehicles. Making an emotional connection with our customers is of huge importance to Hyundai Motor, the design of Vision G makes this connection in a bold, respectful and premium way,” said Christopher Chapman, Head of Hyundai Design Centre in North America. As for the interior cabin, it is finished in natural warm wood and leather to provide a non-glitzy environment with effortless luxury.
