The 2014 edition of India Bike Week kicked off in Goa yesterday. The biggest motorcycling event in the Asia has witnessed an overwhelming response from the bike enthusiasts from across the world. The two days biking event (17th January-18th January) is organized by 70 Event Media Group in association with travel and lifestyle channel, Fox Traveller. loaded with music, fun, entertainment, DJs, bars and mainly some incredible biking essence, India Bike Week is none other than a festival for the like-minded people having interest for motorcycles in common.
The first day went awestruck witnessed with live music, great food and never-seen-before machines including the incredible biking beauties such as Vintage Bike Concours, with a new Century Class of 100 year old motorcycles, custom bikes and some other fanciful genre of motorcycles. The other interesting bits of the day were being the introduction of Harley Davidson Street 750 that succeeded to gather applauds from the audience.
Other than this, the praiseworthy Bike Build Off showcase witnessed 7 truly incredible motorcycle customizers shortlisted from all around the country fight for the title with their unbound creativity in competition with last year's Build off winner Vijay Singh from Rajputana Customs.
Alongwith showcase and other biking activities, the excitement at Vagator was uplifted by the presence of legendary international motorcyclists- Ted Simon, Sam Childers and Nick Sanders. All three admiring personalities rode on the roads of Goa which was followed by a session to honour the long-distance riders amongst the crowd. Sharing their stories, experiences and importantly biking tips from the legends themselves in what a biker could never afford to miss.
The biggest highlight of the festival this year was the Bike Build Off showcase. It witnessed 7 truly incredible motorcycle customizers shortlisted from all around the country fight for the title with their unbound creativity in competition with last year's Build off winner Vijay Singh from Rajputana Customs.
With day one having International Legends on board, India Bike Week honoured three of India's legends -the great Indian Bikers Aspi Bhathena, Zubin Patel and Jay Kannaiyan. Some other activities include the Bike stunting competition, Bikini Bike Bar, Beerambulance, The Howling Dog Bar, IBW skills challenge and Motorcycle Travelers Meet.
