2015 Volkswagen Vento (Polo sedan) facelift has been fully revealed in Russia ahead of its official unveiling. The Vento facelift is also expected to make its way to India during the festive season period of Diwali (October-November 2015) this year. The spy-images show that 2015 Volkswagen Vento would have an array of cosmetic changes at the outside, while interiors might get an update as well. Though no mechanical changes expected though, at least for the Indian version.
Going by the spy-shots provided by Russian social networking site Vkontakte, the front fascia of the 2015 Vento facelift looks quite updated. It gets a new triple-slat chrome grille, which resembles a lot to the recently launched Jetta facelift. In addition, it also flaunts new foglight enclosures at the front bumper, which are quite Polo-esque. The frot no longer has the cutout for the ‘VW’ badge. As for the side profile, it mostly remains unchanged except for the inclusion of new new wing mirrors with integrated indicators. Coming at the rear profile of the sedan, there are a couple of modifications. Firstly, the chrome strip which is currently visible at lowermost of the bootlid is placed just above the registration plate enclosure in the facelift version. Also, the rear bumper now has a cutout for the exhaust.
There is nothing much known about the interiors of the 2015 Volkswagen Vento facelift, but we expect the company to update the upholstery and cluster illumination colour. It, perhaps, include a few more features as well. Mechanically, it is not expected to get any tweaks and would continue using the same set of 1.6L petrol, a 1.2L TSI petrol (with the 7-speed DSG transmission only) and a 1.5L diesel engine. It would be at loggerheads with Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Hyundai Verna 4S Fluidic, and Ford Fiesta in the country.
