British luxury automajor Land Rover has revealed the variants and pricing of the 2016 Range Rover Evoque facelift. The Evoque facelift would be offered across a total of 5 variants - SE, SE Tech, HSE Dynamic, HSE Dynamic Lux and Autobiography - when it goes on sale in September 2015 in UK. The SUV has an introductory price of £30,200 (Around Rs. 27.56 Lakhs) for the SE trim and it goes as high as £51,800 (Around Rs. 47.56 Lakhs) for the top-end Autobiography variant.
2016 Range Rover Evoque would be available in 12 different wheel designs ranging from 17” to 20“ in a range of styles and finishes. It has been offered with a choice of 13 exterior paint colours. The pallet includes two new colours, Baltoro Ice metallic and Waitomo Grey premium metallic. The Exterior design of the Evoque has been updated with several revisions including a new front bumper, two new grille designs, all-LED headlamps (optional), tailgate spoiler and three new alloy wheel designs. Inside, a new seat design sits amongst a refreshed interior scheme available in a selection of new colours and materials.
Land Rover’s new infotainment system InControlTM Touch is also introduced along with an eight-inch touchscreen system with the new Evoque SUV. Additionally, the new Evoque SUV comes with an array of contemporary features like Lane Departure Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), heated eight way adjustable front seats, powerfold door mirrors, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and automatic climate control as standard. Moreover, for the first time on a Land Rover SUV, a new Gesture Control feature is available permitting the user to open the tailgate hands-free for effortless access to the boot space.
InControlTM Touch Plus, is standard on HSE Dynamic and Autobiography. This system comprises HDD-based navigation, optional rear-seat entertainment system with a pair of eight-inch video screens with wireless digital headphones and a choice of 11 or 17 speaker Meridian audio system. The 2016 Range Rover Evoque would be launched in India by the mid of 2016 as Land Rover would firstly launch the new Discovery Sport in the country in August or September this year. After Discovery Sport, the company would launch its all-new mid-sized sedan Jaguar XE at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo in February.
The new aluminium Ingenium diesel engine brings class-leading efficiency, making the Range Rover Evoque the most efficient production Land Rover ever. The new TD4 engine is 20-30kg lighter than its predecessor and is available in two power outputs. The 150PS (eD4 2WD) offers fuel economy of up to 24.07kmpl, while the potent 180PS unit offers 20.89kmpl. The 150PS unit is 18% more fuel efficient versus the Evoque’s previous diesel engines. The 2016 Model Year Evoque is also offered with Land Rover’s existing advanced 240PS Si4 petrol engine. Delivering strong performance, Si4 derivatives can accelerate from 0-100kmph in just 7.6 seconds and achieve a top speed of 217kmph, while returning a fuel economy of 12.74kmpl.
