A big change in the all-new 2019 Audi Q3 is the leap to the new advanced MQB architecture that underpins a large n umber of Volkswagen Group cars. This new architecture helps the second generation Audi Q3 to achieve weight advantage without comprising the agility of the car. It competes with the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
In terms of design, the new Audi Q3 takes inspiration from its bigger siblings and it sports the latest design language of the brand. There are sharp LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, signature octagonal grille in line of the Audi Q8. Dimensionally, it gets larger and wider by 60 mm and 30 mm respectively compared to the current model.
Inside the cabin, the SUV gets 12.3-inch virtual cockpit display, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with hand gesture, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Thanks to the enhanced length and width, the SUV will offer more space and comfort to the occupants.
On the powertrain front, the new Audi Q3 would get a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine. A hybrid variant of the car will be introduced later. It is not sure, which variants will be offered in Indian market. We hope to learn more in coming weeks.
