The BMW X4 is will be reaching Indian dealerships this month and for those who are not completely satisfied with the SAV’s appearance, Lightweight has some aftermarket parts to spice up the Bavarian crossover coupe. This is the X4 xDrive35d version and has been fitted with custom 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels wrapped around in Michelin Pilot Super Sport 245/35 front and 265/30 rear tires.
It has also been brought closer to the road by 30mm thanks to a suspension lowering spring kit from Bilstein while the body has been wrapped around in a frozen grey foil which reminds us of the special paint available exclusively through BMW Individual. To enhance the X4’s appeal even further, the tuners at Lightweight have developed an array of carbon fiber bits and pieces such as the side mirror caps, front and rear spoilers, as well as the rear apron insert.
They also worked on the posh interior cabin which now comes with black Alcantara upholstery featuring double stitching on the center console. The velour floor mats have been adorned with the tuner’s logo and we also notice the aluminum pedal set while perhaps the most interesting feature is the custom auxiliary display that has replaced the left-center air vent.
These cosmetic changes are matched with an engine upgrade as the turbodiesel 3.0-liter 6-cylinder has been tweaked to develop 365 bhp and 690 Nm, up from the series 313 bhp and 630 Nm. For those with a greater thirst for power, Lightweight is also offering a stage two kit of its tuning program which will lift output of the engine to 375 bhp and a massive 700 Nm. In this case, the BMW X4 will be able to reach a maximum speed of 280 kmph, not too bad for a relatively small crossover powered by a diesel engine.
