Honda has uncovered the new generation Brio hatchback at the GIIAS 2018 in Indonesia. The new Honda Brio looks heavily inspired by the Honda Small RS Concept that was displayed at the IIMS 2018 in April this year. Also, there are several similarities visible with the new Honda Amaze. With the new generation model unveiled, expect it to reach Indian market sometime later this year or in early 2019.

Interestingly, both the upcoming Honda Brio and the current Honda Amaze share same platform, engines and interior as well. At exterior, the front grille and headlamps of the new Brio look similar to the Amaze. Also, the second generation Brio takes inspiration from its predecessors as well, which are visible at places like front bumpers, door handles, side character lines, ORVMs etc.

Inside the cabin, the new Honda Brio sports a stylish and appealing layout combined with premium features. The touchscreen infotainment system at the centre console adds zing to the cabin, while the updated seat and upholstery materials enhance the appeal. It offers ample space and comfort. Expect impressive safety features to be offered in this model.

Speaking about the engines, the car would continue with the same motors in India. However, Honda is yet to reveal the details about its India-spec Brio. Transmission options would include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT.
