India’s first electric motorcycle, Tork T6X launched at Rs 1.25 lakh

The Pune-based electric automotive firm, Tork Motorcycles has launched India’s first electric motorcycle, T6X at a price tag of Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). The company has produced many prototypes in past, but T6X became its ever first production motorcycle.The company claims a top speed of 100kmph and a full range of 100kms on a full charge. Tork Motorcycles has also installed 6 public charging booth till date which are located in Pune and Lonavala. The company also plans on installing 100 more charging stations in cities including Pune, Bangalore and Delhi, which also happens to be the only Indian cities to get the T6X in the pilot phase of its launch.
The company will then expand into cities including Hyderabad and Mumbai, it plans on selling 5,000 to 10,000 units each year for the next couple of years. One of the top honchos at Tork Motorcycles also revealed that company’s manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune is almost complete.
