Indian Motorcycle Springfield launched in India at Rs 30.6 lakh

Snapshot: Indian Motorcycle introduced its all new Springfield motorcycle at a whopping Rs 30.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

American bike manufacturer, Indian Motorcycle has launched its all new Springfield in the domestic bike market with a price tag of Rs 30.6 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Booking for the bike has already started while deliveries will begin from August 2016. This latest product from Company’s portfolio has been named after the birthplace of Indian Motorcycle and it will be available in two colour options- Black and Red. 

 Powering its motor is an 1811cc, Fuel injected, Thunder Stroke 111 engine that could churn out a maximum torque of 138.9Nm at 2600 rpm. The rider can further improve the riding experience by adding accessories like heated seats for a rider as well as pillion, tall and low windshield, heated grip, an additional 64 litres of trunk and soft lowers.

Speaking on the launch of the new addition to 2016 line-up, Mr. Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director, Polaris India said, “The Indian Springfield offers a good mix of touring comfort and urban versatility through its blend of classic styling and comprehensive modern technology. The launch of this iconic bike is part of our strategy to introduce products which would take the growth story of Indian Motorcycle to the next level in India. It has been introduced to inspire a new generation of riders and satiate their wanderlust.  Using a tourer-oriented steering geometry that gives it better handling on the open road, it delivers on the tradition of great Indian Motorcycles. Indian Springfield fits perfectly into the Indian line-up putting more than enough power to keep you smiling.”

The Springfield offers several features like ABS (Anti-braking system), Quick releases Lexan Windshield, Hard saddle bags, Cruise Control, Keyless start, Tire Pressure monitoring, and cast aluminium Frame that comes fitted with Air Box. It also comes with a fully digitalized instrumental cluster that displays dual trip-meters, digital tachometer, air temperature, fuel range, average fuel economy, battery voltage, gear position display, real time clock, vehicle trouble code read-out, heated grip level (If heated grips installed), low engine oil pressure, 9 LED telltale indicators, cruise control enabled, cruise control set, neutral, high beam, turn signal, ABS, check engine, and MPH or Kmph unit Designation, tank mounted electronic fuel gauge with low fuel LED indicator.
