Toyota Innova is one of the favorite car in India and it is no surprise that the manufacturers have sold nearly four Lakhs cars since its introduction to the Indian car market. ‘Toyota Innova’ was first introduced in India in ‘2005’ to replace ‘Toyota Qualis’. At the time of its introduction the vehicle was manufactured in the overseas units of Toyota. It is better than the ‘Qualis’ and comes with an improved design, comfort ‘and quality’. It comes with a classical design, a substantial height, and runs on nearly fifteen inches ‘tyres’. The inside of the car is a comfortable, elegant and yet functional. The back seat is adjustable and there are ‘seat belts’ for both back and front seats. What is more the ‘music system is’ good and the driver of the car can change the audio system by remote control tool which is attached to the handle. Innova comes both in the ‘petrol and diesel’ variants with a ‘16 valve 2494 cc CRDi’ engine for diesel variant and a ‘4 cylinder, 2’ Litre engine for petrol variant. The car seats eight people comfortably. It weighs ‘1640’Kgs. and gives a ‘mileage’ of ’13-15’ Kms.
On the occasion of crossing over a mark of four lakhs cars sold in India, ‘Toyota’ has unveiled a ‘special edition’ of the model. Apart from other features a special ‘chrome kit’ comes along with the vehicle. This new model of Toyota called ‘Toyota Innova Chrome’ comes with some modification to the exterior. ‘Chrome’ is introduced in the face lifted ‘front grille’ as well in the handles of the doors, the moulding of wheel arch also has a touch of chrome, and chrome inlay is used round the ‘turn indicators’ and ‘wing mirrors’. The model comes in two variants, diesel and petrol. The petrol model has ‘2.0 litre engine, while the diesel variant has ‘a 2.5 litre 4D turbo’ engine. The engines can surge to ‘100’ BHP and ‘131’ BHP. Both variants are capable of seating seven to eight people.
