Isuzu Motors India has unveiled the D-Max V-Cross at the ongoing 2016 Auto Expo. Being billed as India's 1st “Adventure Utility Vehicle”, it would be launched in the second half of 2016 while being locally manufactured at the Japanese automaker's production facility at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh from April 2016. Isuzu D-Max V-Cross was Mr. Susumu Hosoi, Chairman & Representative Director, Isuzu Motors Ltd., and Mr. Naohiro Yamaguchi, Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India.
Isuzu D-Max V-Cross comes with a 4X4 drive system and can also be registered as a “Personal Vehicle” Though for commercial purposes, the Isuzu D-Max will be available in various 4X4 and 4X2 configurations, with a combination of Crew Cab / Single Cab, High Ride / Normal Ride and flat deck / arch-deck load bodies. In addition, there will also be a Cab-chassis variant. The D-Max V-Cross is Isuzu's 2nd generation pick-up which is available several markets, including Europe, Australia, Thailand and South America. Being powered by a BSIV compliant Common Rail diesel engine, it has a maximum power output of 134bhp and peak torque of 320Nm between 1800-2800rpm.
The D-Max V-Cross comes with high ground clearance and high ride suspension. As said before as well, it would be offered with 4WD (shift-on-fly) drive mode. The exterior features include projector headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, sporty roof rails, ORVM with turn side indicator and chrome finish for front grille, ORVM and door handles. Inside the cabin, it would boast of several premium features such as steering mounted audio controls, electro-luminescent meters with MID (Multi Information Display) and 7-inch touch screen audio system with USB input, DVD, AUX, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity. The price of the new ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross (Private Registration) would be approximately Rs. 15 Lakhs and that of the commercial version of the ISUZU D-MAX CrewCab will be approximately Rs. 8.5–9.5 Lakhs.
The price for the ISUZU D-MAX Single Cab (Commercial Version) will be announced later.
