Isuzu Motors India has flagged off the 3rd edition of the Isuzu ‘Max Run Challenge’ from Lucknow with 2 Isuzu D-MAX vehicles (Space Cab Arch Deck and Space Cab Flat Deck). Both the D-MAX pic-ups would reach Kolkata on the 10th June covering a distance of around 1000 kms across different road and terrain conditions. Mr. Tutu Dhawan, a well-known automotive expert will participate in the challenge to validate the fuel-efficiency of the Isuzu D-MAX.
Speaking about the occasion, Mr. Shigeru Wakabayashi, Deputy Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India, said, “The Isuzu ‘Max Run Challenge’ is a global initiative to test and prove the fuel efficiency, durability, reliability of the Isuzu D-MAX in real-time conditions. We consider this as a challenge and an opportunity to showcase the capabilities of the product. We have already received phenomenal response for its fuel efficiency from our existing customers and this will prove to be a testimony for our new customers as well.” The first two editions of the Isuzu ‘Max Run Challenge’ achieved a remarkable mileage of 19.6 kmpl on a 1048 kms drive from Vijayawada to Mumbai in September 2014 and 23.4 kmpl on a 665 kms drive from Jaipur to Ludhiana in February 2015.
The third edition of the Max Run Challenge will culminate in Kolkata marking Isuzu’s entry into the state of West Bengal. Isuzu D-MAX pick-up truck is built on a heavy-duty chassis that offers durability and superior performance, making it one of the most competitive pick-up trucks in the country. The company recently added two new variants - Air-Conditioned and Cab-Chassis - to D-Max pick-up's line-up. Isuzu is rapidly expanding its dealer network in the country and has plans to open 60 outlets across India by end of 2015-16. Isuzu currently has 20 dealership facilities at Delhi, Noida, Jaipur, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Madurai, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Cochin, Calicut, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Gurgaon, Indore and Vadodara.
