Unlike the exterior, the cabin is likely to get a host of changes including styling tweaks and a bunch of new features. The dashboard inside will receive slight restyling and it will be enveloped with the beige and black dual tone colour scheme instead of the current black colour theme. It will additionally get artificial wood trim and some soft-touch bits for a plusher look. The centre fascia on the dashboard is expected to feature silver surround. While on the feature front, it could benefit from a touchscreen infotainment system along with other new bits details on which will be revealed at the official unveiling.
Mechanically, the Isuzu MU-X facelift will remain unchanged with the same 3.0-litre oil burner powering the SUV. In terms of power, this diesel unit makes 174 bhp at 3,600 rpm against peak torque of 380 Nm between 1800 to 2800 rpm. As per claims, a BS-VI compliant engine could be added to the range at a later stage. Transmission duties on the current model are carried out by the 5-speed sequential shift automatic gearbox.
