Remember the article we did on the car of the future, Jaguar C-X75 hybrid Supercar? The same car, which was scrapped off the production due to the recession will be seen doing high speed chase scenes in the much anticipated upcoming James Bond flick, Spectre. According to Autocar UK, the carmaker is currently working on making C-X75 suitable for the filming use.
Reports are, that the villain of the movie will be driving the Jaguar C-X75, which means, spectators will be able to witness Aston Martin DB10 and Jaguar C-X75 sharing the same screen space for the first time, or probably the only time, as both are concept cars and no future plans of productions are there.
Jaguar although, has not officially confirmed any involvement with the film, but has indicated a future possible announcement. Jaguar C-X75 houses a hybrid powertrain originally, but will use supercharged 5.0 litre V8 instead, for the production purposes. This is the same engine Jaguar utilizes in many of its cars.
As much as Aston Martins are related to the Bond, so are the Jaguars. Jaguar XJ8 and XJR, both made appearances in the 2006 movie Casino Royale. Also a Jaguar XKR starred in the 2002's Die Another Day. Interestingly, the villain is always driving a Jaguar in the Bond flicks while the hero always gets an Aston Martin.
