The F-Type Coupe is one of the most beautiful sports cars on sale today and in R specification it’s even more appealing so naturally there’s not much a tuner can do to improve its looks. Case in point, Piecha Design has implemented a tastefully made subtle body kit which includes an add-on on the front bumper that now has side wings manufactured from glossy lacquered carbon. The side skirts also adopt a similar enhancement while at the back there is a beefier diffuser hosting two vertical stabilizing fins to boost the car’s aerodynamics.
The list of changes continues as Piecha Design has mounted a new exhaust system packing 90 mm exhaust tips while the rear end also hosts a custom wing made from carbon. Stock wheels were removed to make room for a 21-inch set featuring a glossy silver finish and combined with Yokohama tires measuring 255/30 R21 at the front and 295/25 R21 for the rear axle. In addition, a custom height-adjustable coilover spring system will lower the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe’s height between 10 mm and 30 mm.
Piecha Design hasn’t fiddled around with the engine compartment so the high-performance Jag continues to pack a mighty supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine unleashing 550 bhp and 680 Nm. It represents enough muscle for a 0-100 kmph in just 4.2 seconds and a 300 kmph top speed which has been electronically limited by Jaguar’s engineers.
This aftermarket package proves a little can go a long way as although the styling revisions are subtle, these generally improve the aesthetics of the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe and it’s actually quite hard to do that given the already attractive design of the stock model available in India alongside the regular F-Type and the F-Type S while the convertible can be had in F-Type S and F-Type V8 S guises.
