Jaguar launched the F-Type SVR, which is available in coupe and convertible variants, priced at Rs. 2.45 crore and Rs. 2.63 crore (Ex Showroom, Delhi) respectively in India. Reportedly, Jaguar has commenced the booking for the models. The F-Type SVR Coupe will compete with the likes of Mercedes-AMG GT R, Porsche 911 Turbo S, and Nissan GT-R while the convertible variant competes with the Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet and Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster in India.
Exterior wise, the SVR gets a body kit with a carbon fibre spoiler, diffuser and front bumper, LED headlights and tail lights, titanium exhaust and a tweaked suspension setup and rides on 20-inch alloy wheels finished in satin grey.
The interior features SVR seats, aluminium paddle shifters and SVR branding. Speaking of the fetures, the car comes equipped with a 8 inch touchscreen infotainment with navigation, 380W Meridian audio system, ABS with EBD, dynamic stability control, emergency brake assist, 6 airbags, front and rear parking sensors and rain-sensing wipers.
Mechanically, the F-Type SVR comes packed with a 5.0-litre, supercharged V8 petrol engine that cranks out a whopping 567bhp of power @ 6,500 rpm with 700 Nm of top torque @ 3,500 rpm. The powertrain comes paired with a 8-speed automatic transmission. The SVR gets an all-wheel drive with torque vectoring. Jaguar claims that the F-Type SVR coupe can bolt from 0 to 100 kmph in a mere 3.7 seconds and touch a top speed of 322 kmph. The convertible gets the same claimed acceleration timing with a tops of 314 kmph.
