Jaguar Land Rover has unveiled the F-PACE SVR ahead of its world premiere at the 2018 New York International Auto Show. Being the 2017 World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year, Jaguar F-PACE with the SVR treatment now becomes the fastest and most powerful F-PACE derivative yet. The price starts at £74,835 (Around Rs. 69 Lakhs) in the UK, while it will be available to order from June 2018. Engineered by Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), it has a 44 percent uplift in power.
Aerodynamic enhancements include larger air intakes at the front and side fender vents. In addition, unique wheel arch extensions and lower body mouldings distinguish the SVR variant from the standard ones. An exclusive SVR bonnet features vents to help extract hot air from the engine bay. The rear end flaunts a unique spoiler and new bumper, housing the quad tailpipes of the Active Exhaust system. The bumper incorporates side strakes that aid aerodynamic performance by smoothing airflow away from the rear of the vehicle. The uprated chassis has progressive front and rear springs that are 30 and 10 percent stiffer respectively and incorporate an anti-roll bar specification that contributes to a 5 percent reduction in body roll.
Jaguar F-TYPE SVR rides on new, lightweight forged 21- and optional 22-inch alloy wheels, which are wider at the rear by 25mm compared to the front. The 22-inch wheels are 2.4kg lighter on the front and 1.7kg lighter on the rear, while complimenting the larger 395mm front and 396mm rear brake discs. F-PACE SVR also features Jaguar’s Variable Valve Active Exhaust System which is 6.6 kgs lighter than the standard F-PACE system. Inside, the F-PACE SVR features slimline performance front seats with signature lozenge quilting and embossed SVR logo. In addition, the high-performance SUV gets unique rear seats with the SVR branded steering wheel which features tactile aluminium paddle shifters.
Jaguar F-PACE SVR is on offer with four interior colour themes: Red with Jet, Light Oyster with Jet, Siena Tan with Jet and Jet with Light Oyster stitching. As for infotainment, it boasts of 10-inch Touch Pro system with 4G WiFi for up to eight devices as standard. The SUV also comes with a 12.3-inch HD instrument cluster. Mechanically, the F-PACE SVR is powered by the 5.0L V8 supercharged petrol engine which belts out 545bhp and 680Nm. The SUV does a 0-100kmph sprint in 4.3 seconds before topping out at 283kmph. All-Wheel Drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics, All Surface Progress Control, Adaptive Dynamics suspension, Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) and Dynamic Driving Mode and Adaptive Surface Response come as standard features.
