Jaguar F-Type Convertible spied

Snapshot: Majestic F-Type Convertible spied with four exhaust system! Jaguar might be testing a new engine

Wonder what Jaguar is up to these days? Well, the company is busy testing the new F-Type roadster. Spy images have surfaced on Internet showing the test mule pushing to the limits in Scandia. Jaguar might be testing their new engines with the prototype.

From the pictures, it can be seen that there is only a new hood with missing rear skirt and an exhaust, which is really not going with the car. The mysterious prototype Jaguar F-Type may be a move to make the convertible cheaper by installing new lower displacement engines.

From the images, it seems that it is the same car which was caught testing during November last year, with the prominent black hood, the only difference seems to be the four-pipe exhaust system. The rumor mill, which has been working restlessly to form new theories about the F-Type has concluded that this could be a four-cylinder downgrade from the current specification for a new entry-level F-Type, but the exhaust system denotes that it could be really something else.

There is no point of using a quad system exhaust with four pot cylinder. The test car might can actually be the V8 5-liter monster with 550 horse power, similar like the one working under the hood of F-Type Coupe.

Jaguar F-Type was launched last year and gained instant popularity around the world because of the world class engineering. The F-Type Convertible was launched in India last year and the Coupe version of the car will come to India during AutoExpo 2014.
