The Indian armed British marque, Jaguar Land Rover announced the launch 3rd variant of the 2017 Model Year Jaguar XE in India, called Prestige at Rs 43.69 Lakh (ex-showroom in Mumbai, pre-octroi). The Prestige derivative comes packed with exciting features such as sliding sunroof, Taurus leather seats with driver seat memory, interior mood lighting, 380 W Meridian sound system and rear view camera. Th Jaguar XE Prestige will sit between the Pure and the Portfolio variants.
Speaking at the launch of the new variant, Rohit Suri, President, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), said: “The All-New Jaguar XE is a distinctive combination of Jaguar’s cutting-edge innovation, technology and design. With the introduction of the Jaguar XE, we have entered a new market segment and made Jaguar more accessible to our customers while maintaining the premium and aspirational equity of the brand. This luxury sport saloon has been setting benchmarks in the industry since its launch and with the introduction of the Prestige derivative, we are confident of its continued popularity and success.”
The all-new Jaguar XE comes loaded with Advanced Driving technologies like Electric Powered Assisted Steering (EPAS) and All Surface Progress Control (ASPC) along with some premium features such as InControl Touch which gives control over the car’s major functions including audio, climate control and navigation system.
Under the hood, Both the Jaguar XE Prestige is powered packed with a 2.0-litre petrol engine which capable to Pump out a power of 197bhp @ 5500rpm and a torque of 320Nm @ 1750rpm. The engine is coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox that drives power to the forward wheels of this model. The Jaguar XE competes with the likes of the BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
