Jaguar Land Rover, the Tata-owned luxury British marquee has confirmed its lineup at the Auto Expo 2016 and will launch the Jaguar XE, while the Jaguar XF and Jaguar F-Pace will be showcased at the show. The XE sedan is Jaguar's new entry-level sedan and it would rival the likes of Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3-Series, and Audi A4.
The new XE is built on all-aluminium chassis, being first for the segment, it will be power-packed with 2.0-litre diesel motor from the brand’s latest Ingenium engine family producing 160 bhp of power. A 2.0-litre V6 petrol engine is also likely to join the lineup, along with more diesel options. Currently, dominating its class with a competitive price starting at around Rs 38 lakh is expected, since the model will be constructed at Jaguar Land Rover’s vicinity in Pune.
The new XF model will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2016, and is expected to launch in April 2016. This will also face some tough competition by the German brands, but this second-generation sedan is lighter with better room space and thriftier than its predecessor. It also features a new 10.2in ‘dual-view’ touchscreen, InControl Touch Pro (multimedia system). It will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine and 2.0-litre turbo petrol engines, both paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Following its launch at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015, The Jaguar F-Pace SUV completes Jaguar’s lineup at the Auto Expo 2016. This SUV will share the F-Type’s 3.0-litre supercharged V6 and will be available in a 2.0-litre of 3.0-litre diesel motors too. It is expected to be priced from Rs 65 lakh and could make its media launch in the country at the end of 2016.
With such a lineup at the Auto Expo 2016, the brand is putting its efforts to dominate other brands with their product on slot.
