British Secret Services, agent 007, James Bond has ditched his magnanimous Aston Martin DB5 in favour of a Fiat 500 in the upcoming Bond movie, which is being codenamed as 'Bond 24'. If media reports are to be believed, then Daniel Craig as James Bond, would be seen in a high adrenaline rush chasing sequence on the streets of Rome in a Fiat 500. Needless to say, Bond lost his all-time favorite car - the Aston Martin DB5 - in the the last flick Skyfall, where it was blown away in the climax.
It is almost known to eveyone that cars form an integral part of Bond movies as they are involved in several high-speed car chase. Till now, only Aston Martin was touted as 007's personal favorite car and even the iconic DB5 had made several appearences in the movies, the latest being in Skyfall. The scenes with Fiat 500 would be shot around in February-March and the journey of the Italian vehicle would be limited in the movie as it would get blown away near Vatican. The British news agencies have claimed that apart from the Fiat 500, a fleet of Land Rover cars would also be used in the movie. Speculations are also rife about Bond driving the all-new Aston Martin DB9 successor - the first new car would be used in the movie.
Being tentatively titled Bond 24, the movie starts shooting in a few weeks from now at Pinewood Shepperton studios. It is the 24th movie of the Bond franchise and 4th of Daniel Criag as James Bond. It would be helmed by Sam Mendes, who had previously directed the all-time blockbuster Skyfall in the Bond series. Reprising their roles from Skyfall are Ben Whishaw as Q and Naomie Harris as Ms. Moneypenny, while Ralph Fiennes officially takes over as M. It is expected to hit the theatres by the end of 2015.
