The introduction of Jawa Classic and Jawa 42 in November last year saw Jawa making an Indian comeback. Jawa displayed the Jawa Perak at the brand launch in November 2018. The Mahindra subsidiary celebrated their first anniversary by launching the Jawa Perak Bobber. Compare the pricing and specifications of the three Jawa bikes.

The Jawa 42 and Jawa come equipped with a similar 293cc liquid-cooled 1-cylinder, fuel injection engine that is also present in the Mahindra Mojo. This engine mates with a 6-speed transmission system to deliver 27.3ps power and 28Nm torque. The Jawa Perak Bobber engine is the same but with a higher capacity of 334cc.
The Jawa Perak Bobber engine pairs with a 6-speed gearbox to produce a power of 30ps and torque of 31Nm. Thus, this engine is comparatively more potent than those present on the other Jawa bikes. Secondly, the Jawa Perak Bobber engine is BSVI compliant, the first offering from Jawa to satisfy these norms.

All the three bikes come with similar conventional telescopic hydraulic forks for the front suspension, whereas the Jawa Perak Bobber features a preload-adjustable monoshock rear suspension unit. The other two bikes come with a gas-charged twin-shock absorber.
The Jawa Perak Bobber gets disc brakes for both the front and rear wheels, whereas the other two models get drum brakes for the rear and disc brakes for the front wheels as a standard offering. A rear disc brake option is also available. Jawa 42 and Jawa get single-channel ABS as standard and a dual-channel ABS as an optional arrangement. The Jawa Perak Bobber, on the other hand, features dual-channel ABS.
The Jawa Forty Two India price is the lowest amongst the three bikes at Rs 1.55 lakhs for the standard variant. The dual disc-brake dual-channel ABS version is available at Rs 1.64 lakhs. The corresponding Jawa Classic India prices are Rs 1.65 lakhs and Rs 1.73 lakhs respectively.
The Jawa Perak Bobber India price is the highest at Rs 1.94 lakhs, a clear margin of Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000 over the top-end variants of the Jawa Classic and the Jawa 42 respectively.
The high price tag is because of the distinct swingarm, a more robust engine, and the up-market segment design when compared to the other two Jawa bikes. Hence, Jawa Perak Bobber ranks as a premium Jawa product.
