- Initially, Jawa Perak was priced at Rs 1.89 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
- The price could be increased due to the BS 6 certified engine.
- Jawa Perak will carry looks inspired from the Bobber range.
Jawa started its second innings in the Indian market last year with the introduction of three new models: Jawa, Jawa Forty Two and Jawa Perak. The Jawan and Forty Two were launched then while the Perak will go on sale from tomorrow in the country.
Though the company had already announced its pricing of Rs 1.89 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) a year back now it is learned that the initial pricing could witness a certain hike.
The bobber resembling Jawa Perak will be different from the other two motorcycles in the Jawa range which flaunt a retro look. Featuring a long stance and a low slung, it takes styling cues from the Bobber. A year back, Jawa unveiled it in a matte black color but we expect the company to present it in a few more colors.
The bike was showcased as a single-seater model with a floating seat, bar-end mirrors, chopped fenders, and stubby exhaust mufflers. Although, it is not yet known how many of the aforementioned elements will make their way into the production model, which is launching tomorrow.
The sources have confirmed that Jawa Perak will boast of a more traditional and conventional design. Mechanically, it will be powered by a larger engine in a BS 6 compliant mode than the Jawa and Forty Two.
There will be a 334cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC petrol engine which will develop top power and peak torque of 30bhp and 31Nm, respectively, as compared to the other two motorcycles' 27bhp and 28Nm. The subframe and rear suspension setup on the Perak will also be different. Expect the waiting period for the bike higher, considering the demand for the other two Jawas.
