Mahindra & Mahindra subsidiary, Classic Legends has recently re-introduced the iconic Jawa nameplate in India. The company has launched 3 new motorcycles - Jawa, Jawa forty two and Jawa Perak - priced at Rs 1.64 lakh, 1.55 lakh and Rs 1.89 lakh respectively. Classic Legends has appointed 105 dealerships for the sale of Jawa motorcycles in India. Out of these 105 touch-points, 64 dealerships would soon commence operations in India. The company has already confirmed that the first dealerships would be open for business on December 5, 2018.

While Classic Legends hasn't released a complete list of dealerships, a media report reveals the store locations of the Jawa motorcycles of major cities. Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Pune will have 4 showrooms each, and all the dealerships will be located at strategic places.

In Mumbai, the Jawa dealership locations are Andheri (West), Chembur, Thane (near Viviana mall) and Vashi. For Delhi, the company will open dealerships in Krishna Nagar, Gujranwala Town, Saket and Tilak Nagar. The Hyderabad and Pune will have stores in Ranigunj, Banjara Hills road number 12, Gachibowli Hitech road and Kukatpally, and Baner, Koregaon Park and Chinchwad station respectively. Besides these cities, the company is reportedly to have 5 dealerships in Bengaluru, 4 dealerships in Chinnai and 1 dealership in Kolkata.

Coming back to the product range, Jawa will initially start selling the Jawa forty two and Jawa Classic. The Perak Bobber would go on sale on a later stage. While bookings for the Jawa and Forty two have already been commenced at a token amount of Rs 5,000, the Perak is expected to be available for pre-orders from early 2019.

The Jawa and the Forty Two are powered by a 293cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve engine with liquid-cooling. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, this fuel-injected engine is capable of producing 27bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. A single-channel ABS system is offered as standard. The Perak Bobber is a factory custom, which features a 343cc, single-cylinder engine producing 30.4bhp and 31Nm of torque. This model will have dual-channel ABS system and dual-disc brakes.
