The 15th Edition of the J.D. Power India Award Evening held at Shangri-la’s – Eros Hotel, New Delhi, where top 3 OEMs that received the most awards are Toyota bagging 9 Awards, Hyundai with 6 Awards and Honda holding 4 Awards. Not only this, premium brands like Audi, Mercedes-Benz and Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Volkswagen, and many more also hold on to awards in the respective studies.
Senior executives from automotive companies attended the ceremony, where Mr Gerrit Kuyntjes, vice president and general manager at J.D. Power, and Mr Mohit Arora, Executive Director at J.D. Power presented the awards to the highest-performing automakers.
Each year, J.D. Power surveys millions of consumers around the world to gather their opinions and expectations about the products and services they purchase. Survey results are used to compile rankings based on product quality, customer satisfaction, and other industry-specific metrics that gauge company performance. J.D. The 2015 - 2016 Syndicated Study Awards 2015 India Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Index (TCSI) Study was awarded to JK Tyres, Toyota bags the 2015 India Dealer Satisfaction with Automotive Manufacturers (two consecutive years). The 2015 India Vehicle Dependability Study Maruti Suzuki Alto in the Compact Car segment, Honda Brio in the Upper Compact Car, Volkswagen Polo in the Premium Compact Car, Toyota Etios in the Entry Midsize Car, Honda City for Most Dependable Midsize Car, while Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Innova both were on the first position in the MUV/ MPV, and Mahindra Scorpio grabbing the award in the SUV segment.
The 2015 India Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study award was a tie between Mahindra and Toyota among the mass market brands, while Audi made the highest in Sales Satisfaction among luxury brands. The 2015 India Customer Service Index (CSI) Study was again bagged by the Maruti Suzuki, where the company has won this award for 15 consecutive years among the mass market brands and in the luxury brands, Mercedes-Benz was awarded.
The 2015 India Initial Quality (IQS) Study award for the entry level compact car was bagged by Hyundai Eon, Hyundai i10 in the Compact Car segment(two consecutive years), Honda Brio marking in the upper compact car segment for the third consecutive year, Hyundai Elite i20/ Active making a stand for the Premium Compact Car, the entry Midsize Car segment for this award was taken by Toyota Etios, Honda City for Midsize car, Toyota Innova bagged this award for 11 consecutive years in the MUV/ MPV segment and Ford EcoSport in SUV segment.
The 2015 India Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study award again bagged by the Hyundai Eon and Hyundai i10 for two consecutive years Entry Compact Car and Compact Car, respectively. The award for the Upper Compact Car segment was taken by Toyota Etios Liva/ Cross, Entry Midsize Car was taken by Toyota Etios, Volkswagen Vento received the award in the Midsize Car segment, while Toyota Innova won this award for the 9 consecutive years in the MUV/ MPV segment, and again Mahindra XUV500 in SUV segment.
During the J.D. Power India Award Evening, Mr Gerrit Kuyntjes, Vice president and General Manager, J.D.
