Jeep Compass is now available with the extended 2 years or 50,000 km warranty offered by FCA’s Mopar warranty program. The company already offers a standard 3 year/1 lakh km, a warranty on the made-in-India model. However, customers can avail warranty for the fourth and fifth year by paying an additional premium and hence extend the warranty for Jeep Compass for a total of 5 year/1.50 km.
The extended warranty package price for the Compass Sport is Rs 25,000, while for the Longitude variants it costs, Rs 28,000. As for the Limited variant, one needs to pay Rs 32,000. The extended warranty coverage can be availed by existing and new customers, though, the introductory prices for the warranty packages are valid only till May 31, 2019.
Besides, customers get a complimentary 24x7 Road-side assistance along with it. It also covers minor onsite repairs, pilot error, fuel and battery assistance, key recovery, accidental breakdown, electrical and mechanical breakdown, taxi and towing facility and hotel benefits along with return journey assistance. The program also offers hassle-free transfer to the second owner within the warranty period.
The company is also working on an off-road focused variant of the SUV, called the Jeep Compass Trailhawk. It will be the first Jeep model in India to get a BS-VI compliant diesel engine along with a nine-speed automatic gearbox. The Trailhawk variant will come equipped with a bunch of off-road tech such as a four-wheel drive with low range with an additional ‘Rock’ mode for the Select Terrain 4WD mode selector, 20 mm higher ground clearance and redesigned front as well as rear bumpers for improved approach and departure. Other bits like a panoramic sunroof, an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system borrowed from Compass Limited Plus will also be offered with the variant. As for the Jeep Trailhawk India launch, it is expected to break covers in the second quarter of 2019.
