FCA India commenced bookings for the Jeep Compass Trailhawk at a token amount of Rs 50,000. The bookings are opened throughout 82 FCA dealership showrooms across the country. Jeep Compass Trailhawk has earned its Trail Rated badge, which is a global benchmark that is given to Jeep 4x4 SUVs for their superior off-road capability.
Talking about the exterior, the Trailhawk gets many changes such as anti-glare decal on the hood redesigned front and rear bumpers with large air dams, Frequency Damped Suspension, higher Ground Clearance than the regular Compass for extreme off-road conditions. The monograms at the front and rear are matte, neutral grey and even the 7-slots grille gets matte, neutral grey frames. The car now rides on a 17-inch dual tone alloy wheel with all-terrain tyres compared to 18 inchers offered on the regular Compass. It also gets underbody skid plates, should you go off-road and the belly will be safe.

Speaking of the features, the Trailhawk comes packed with engine stop/start, hill descent control, cruise control, 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, UConnect with built-in Navigation, 7-inch instrument cluster (provides with information such as navigational direction, engine oil as well as transmission oil, temperature of engine, level of urea in tank along with other information such as radio frequency, mileage, gear select and more), panoramic sunroof, steering mounted controls, Jeep Active Drive 4x4 Low and ‘Rock Mode’ in terrain selection, along with Auto, Snow, Mud and Sand mode. For the safety, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk gets ABS with EBD, traction control, ESC, hill-start assist, roll over mitigation, electronic parking brake and reverse parking camera and sensors.
Under the bonnet, it is powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that makes 170 bhp with 350 Nm of top torque. The 2.0-litre diesel unit is BS VI compliant that will commence on April 1, 2020, and moreover, it can make use of BS IV fuel. The engine comes paired with a 9-speed automatic with different terrain mode – Auto, Snow, Sand, Mud and Rock.
